Co-founded by Chef Zenobia and Fernando Monte da Silva, 414 Heritage Dining is an intimate, slow dining experience housed within their 475-year-old ancestral home in Margao, Goa. Rooted in history but designed for a modern palate, 414 celebrates the rich, often overlooked legacy of Luso-Goan cuisine—preserving its traditions while thoughtfully reimagining its future.

A Living Legacy in Every Bite

At 414, we cook in the manner our ancestors would be proud of—using real butter, organic eggs, freshly grated coconut, and produce sourced almost entirely from Goan farmers and local artisans. Our ingredients may cost more, but they allow us to give back to the communities we belong to, and to cook with integrity.

We do not mass produce. We do not rush. Each dish is crafted in small batches, made exclusively to order, and prepared in our family home’s kitchen that has withstood centuries of change.

Some of our recipes have been handed down through four generations, while others are rooted in a shared cultural memory spanning over 500 years.

Luso-Goan cuisine, once at the heart of Goan kitchens, has commercially remained stagnant—often reduced to a handful of celebratory dishes. At 414, we’re paving a new path forward. Our aim is not just to preserve heritage, but to push it gently into the future, making it relevant, exciting, and deeply personal.

You’ll find dishes at 414 that don’t exist anywhere else in Goa, like:

  • Kokkum Jam Tart – a play on local tartness and European pastry craft
  • Caramel Custard Berliner – a twist on Goa’s most beloved dessert
  • Baba de Camelo Tart – rich, nostalgic, and unmistakably unique

Our Pastelaos, made using a 100+ year-old family recipe, are a rare and exclusive offering in the region. Our preserves trace back to Chef Zenobia’s lineage, and the Chouriço-Stuffed Assado, a deeply spiced roast from Fernando’s family table, is a dish you simply won’t find outside of our kitchen.

These recipes are not ours alone—we are only custodians of a legacy that spans decades, perhaps centuries. And it is our privilege to share them with you.
